I truly think it is a great pen to hose who are new to fountain pen. Its professional looking cap and barrel is rather light and the shiny black grip matches perfectly with the design of the pen. You will find a Parker P logo near the lip of the cap, and of course a parker arrow is going to be found on the clip as you see on many other Parker fountain pen.

One of the good thing about using metal barrel and cap is that they are quite durable. With its springy clip, you can put it on your jacket or jeans pockets without much difficulties. Another advantage of using metal is that it can hide your fingerprints and give some presence to the pen. One thing I don’t like about this pen is that it is quite short when no cap is posted, but the good side is that it is not heavy at all.

There is no skipping problem when I am using this pen, and it can give a nice medium line very easily. The bad side is that it is not wet enough, which leads to an unpleasant feeling when using this pen. Also, the semi-wrapped nib doesn’t look great in any sense. I think the same nib was also used on Parker Reflex as well. Anyway, you should have no problem writing well with light or heavy pressure on it.

To conclude, I would say this pen is a good choice to people who are new to collecting or using fountain pen, as it is not as expensive as other high end fountain pen and it is performing pretty well. You may also consider buying it as a backup pen when you are traveling to other places and don’t want to have an expensive but heavy pen in your pocket.
