Who Invented Fountain Pens?

Want to know about the invention of one of the finest writing instruments available on our planet? The fountain pens- the history of fountain pens traces its history back to 10th century when its existence has been mentioned. However the first surviving fountain pen was called bion named after the man Bion, a french pen maker. This took place in the 18th century. There is no proof that it was Bion who invented these instruments. Though there are proofs for the existence of golden nibs, most commonly used were the quills which were cut in the shape of nibs. In earlier days these pens were fabricated using metals.
